IVF (In Vitro Fertilization): Typical Treatment Cycle

In vitro fertilization (IVF) requires timing. This timing is often unique to the individual cycle. This example is just to provide an idea of what a typical IVF cycle may entail. Your own response may be different.

E2 = blood estrogens
US = trans-vaginal ultrasounds
FSH = injectable fertility drug

From the day of embryo transfer, there should be no hot baths for 3 days and no intercourse or strenuous exercise for the rest of the month.

Again, this is an example for illustration and understanding purposes only. Your actual cycle is likely to be different than this example. The IVF process requires flexibility.
