Dr. Jacobs has spent 20 years in reproductive
medicine. He has successfully treated many couples, but each couple is unique. Each couple requires specific individualized
care. However, there are many types of patients who can learn from similar experiences of other patients. Once
a patient completes therapy at Texas Fertility, P.A., they are given the opportunity to submit words
of advice to those who may be entering the same path that they once traveled.
These words of advice from previous patients.
They are from patients who got pregnant, and from those who unfortunately did not. They are from the heart of those
who know first hand what you are going through.
Donna ... My husband is
quadriplegic from a neck injury. We had visited a urologist several times for mechanical ejaculation and insemination. When
we went to see Dr. Jacobs, he discovered I wasn't ovulating and I had a septum in my uterus. After he removed the
septum, I got pregnant on my first ovulation induction.
Carol ... I had been taking Clomid for
5 years when I saw Dr. Jacobs. He started me on Metrodin after reviewing my records and x-rays. I got pregnant
the second cycle.
Sue ... I had been trying for 2 years
after surgery for Endometriosis. Dr. Jacobs explained I probably needed ovarian stimulation with IUI. It took
3 tries, but we got there.
Sally ... Will, my husband, has a low
sperm count. After years with several Ob/Gyn's we saw Dr. Jacobs. Gonal-f and IUI got us a pregnancy.
Mary ... I have gone to 3 different Ob's
over a span of 15 years. I had 3 laparoscopies, 15 years of Clomid and what seems like hundreds of
IUI's. Immediately
after our first visit, Dr. Jacobs found a mild sperm problem. What was worse, he found a major tubal problem everyone
else missed. He told us the only real chance for a good pregnancy was IVF. After 15 wasted years, we just couldn't
do it.
